clean fresh feel to the place with light interiors, mood lighting, modern and simple. comfortable and clean rooms. It seemed you could eat at the hotel but the was no mention of this for the evening or breakfast, which is a shame as if we we're told we would probably have eaten there! It suited us well as we had just the weekend there, a girly break, ideal for us but i'm not sure as suitable for a family. seemed more for the 'one night stay travellers'. becareful if your booking online through a broker, prices cheaper and although you give all your card details, no money is taken as you pay when you arrive. this means that if you want to pay with the card details you used on line, you will need that card with you. lucky i had a cash to pay, as my husband had actually booked as a treat with his credit card which of course i didn't have with me!
over all good, clean, easy nights stay.
Lovely almost homely city in places for me remind me of the uk. The cathedral, gardens etc, also the museum so plenty of free attractions to make the most of. Also the tram and bus services are very good and regular, they also connect to the gondola to go up the mount at christchurch, well worth it for the view, a lovely place and everyone is friendly and helpful, worth a visit any time of the year.
The town is spread out and as we we're there only 1 night, we ate in an indian restaurant which was lovely. If you are they longer, there is a evening trip up the gondola with dinner or the dinner on the tram restaurant which we'd heard all good things about.
